Safety Plan

  1. All staff and volunteer temperatures will be taken before they check in. If they have a temperature of over 100 degrees they cannot be at the event.
  2. All participants temperature will be taken before they enter the start area. If they have a temperature over 100 degrees they cannot be at the event.
  3. Time Trial Start – 2 people start 5- 10 seconds apart
  4. All participants need to wear a mask from the time they enter the race site to the time they start the race. We will have garbage pails at the start for everyone’s mask.
  5.  Water bottles will be at the water stop and finish line and participants need to take their own bottle off the table rather than a volunteer hand them a cup of water.
  6. After participants cross the finish line there will be a table with masks on it so after participants finish the race they can get a new mask before they leave the finish chute.
  7. Top 3 male/female awards will be given out after WAVE 1 – the competitive wave.  Additional awards can be picked up at YES CCC after the event.
  8. We will have hand sanitizer available throughout the event site.
  9. All volunteers and staff would need to wear masks throughout the event.
  10. Signage will be posted throughout the event stating to practice social distancing and stay 6 feet away from other participants.
  11. Post race food will be individually wrapped bars and snacks and bananas. Food will be spread out on a table by a volunteer with a mask and gloves and will be set up so that finishers will only take what they touch.

Starting at Lake Shore Drive, continue North until Walker St., turn left into Mansfield Park, go through Mansfield Park(water stop) and continue south on the bike path. The course will end at Brady Park with a post event awards ceremony and raffle.
